Automation system for Heat Setting Machine. This machine is used to heat treat special fabric used as Felt or filter in the paper industry.

The automation system for the 11m wide heat setting table is controlled by a Siemens S7-300 PLC (315-2DP) along with the drive system.

The system has Eurotherm - SSD drives for various motor controls. It also includes thyristor control heating elements for the heating the fabric and a remote control system for the basic control operations like roll forward, reverse, roll speed increase or roll speed decrease. This system has a receiver in the main control panel from which the inputs are given to the I/O card in the PLC.

HMI Communication using TCP/IP protocol. The HMI is used for process monitoring and control.
