Project Highlights Test bench for oil engines(variable no of cylinders)

Project Synopsis

Automated test bench for oil engines. The system consists of Siemens S7-300 PLC, Schneider PLC and Masibus temperature scanners.

This test bench provides the facility to test oil engines manufactured by the client. The oil engines are manufactured in various varieties with 10, 12 or 20 cylinders. The engine is controlled by Schneider PLC and the entire data tracking is done with the help of Siemens S7-300 PLC. Data is captured from Siemens S7-300 PLC and send to central WinCC station using MPI protocol. Temperature is captured using modbus protocol written in VB application and sent to WINCC station.

Data required for evaluating the engine performance and test results are captured from Schneider PLC and sent to central WinCC station using VB application.

Reports and trends are provided for online and historical data analysis. Structured programming is done so that new variants of engine can be included for in future.
