Automation of the following areas in a Steel Melt Shop - Electric Arc Furnace, Ladle Furnace, Raw Material Handling, Fume Extraction System and Water Treatment Plant. Each system uses a Siemens Simatic S7-400 system. The PLCs communicate with each other over Ethernet. Communication between Furnace PLCs and Electrode Regulation system is over PROFIBUS.

The scope of work included:
