Project Synopsis

Migration of automation system to PCS7 from Simatic S7-400.

This BASF plant manufactures Styropor. The automation system controls the Polymerization and the Dry Feeder sections. The upgrade also involved process modification to improve productivity and quality at the plant.

Migration was carried out synchronized with the modifications done in the mechanical system. The available shutdown time was very short.
 

The scope of work included:

  1. Design and supply of control systems & cabinets.
  2. Software development .
  3. Commissioning.
